This is my kind of recipe (I'm not exactly a gourmet cook). I was in the middle of working through a 6x6 paper pad per the tutorial at Operation Write Home when I saw this challenge, so I used some of the paper.
Here's the recipe:

2 Patterned Papers: "Gnome Sweet Gnome" paper pad by My Mind's Eye
Border Punch: ek Success
Ribbon: "Celebrate It" by Michael's

OWH Sketch #122
A place to celebrate my creative spirit with card making for Operation Write Home, my love for the best husband a girl could have and for my dear Princess Kitty Chloe, and the abundance of Divine Blessings in my life. President's Day VCMP: Disappearing Act with Sketch 63
This is one of the best challenges ever with instructions on how to make 6 cards with one 12x12 designer paper, 2 pieces colored cardstock, and sentiment/embellishment of your choice. My actual card bases are white and I have a stack of those ready at all times. I have been moving into the world of 6x6 paper pads but still have loads of 12x12 papers. This is my 1st of 6 cards I have ready to assemble. Hope you like it!

S&S Midweek Challenge: Use Colors From Your State Flag
Well...the state flag of California is adorned with a large bear as the centerpiece with red and green accents. I knew I had to use my new My Favorite Things stamp and sentiment "Fred Bear Goes Fishing". This is one of the fund-raiser stamps I purchased from Operation Write Home and it is adorable!
Coloring is not my thing, so I paper-pieced the bear and water, then added the sentiment and bling. I realize there is no 'green' on this card. I still think it works for this challenge :)

S & S Midweek Challenge: Cards 4 Kids
Great challenge!! I opened one of my 6x6 pads for this card and plan to continue using this pad for at least 20 more cards of different designs. I have a small collection of these pads and I love working with them. This one has two-sided paper. YAY!

ODBD February Challenge: Fruit
This was a tough one. The only 'fruity' idea I could come up with was to use the Strawberry Ants from Doodle Pantry in a new design.
I really like the way it turned out!
I fussy-cut part of the pre-colored digital stamp then adhered it to some cardstock to firm it up. The image has been lifted using dimensional adhesive.
