S & S Midweek Challenge: Cards 4 Kids

This was another great challenge! Just had to decide what adorable Doodle Pantry image I wanted to use. I went for a summery theme. Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by...

Pattern Play Day 3

This was a fun way to use one of my favorite 12x12 patterned papers on a card. This class is bringing out the best in my (limited) creative skills!

OWH Sketch #149 and S&S Midweek Challenge

Here's one card for 2 challenges! This uses the OWH Sketch (with artistic license) and the Stars and Stamps Challenge "Love or Hugs". I figure if a bear offers someone a "warm & fuzzy" it is similar to a human hug!

OWH Sketch #146

Sunday's sketch was so much fun to use! So I made one card for two challenges. This one is also going to Shopping Our Stash Challenge 77: Thank You or Thanksgiving. And yes, I shopped my personal stash for everything I used :)

Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 29

Here's my creation for the challenge using one of the perky snowmen digis from Doodle Pantry! I love snowmen, so I had to have this set.
The red Bazzill CS matches the scarf much better in person.

S & S Midweek Challenge

It is another Wednesday and that means a Stars & Stamps Challenge from Operation Write Home. This week the challenge is to create a card using patterned paper and a punch and/or die. Patterned paper is one of my favorite things in the world of crafting so this was fun. The sketch used is OWH # 80 and this card will also be entered into the Shopping Our Stash challenge: create a card from a sketch!

I turned the sketch on the side and changed up the measurements a little.
All DP is from a K&Co. paper pad by Tim Coffey, green background from my garage sale grab bag, cardstock is Bazzill. The rectangle 'picture' was cut using a Spellbinders die on my Cuttlebug. The small, round paperclip-type embellishment is one of dozens I purchased years ago. I should really use these more often!

S & S Midweek Challenge

Create a card using Kraft card stock and one or two other colors. Fun! Here I used a selection of paper pads for the Kraft and DP.

OWH Sketch # 132

Another Sunday brings another sketch from Operation Write Home. This is a simple one. I like it. The plain CS and stripped DP is from my stash, the flowered DP is from the Brenda Walton Designer Paper Pad by K & Company, and the flowers are by Prima. The small button brad is from a collection I bought at Hobby Lobby when we visited Louisiana last June. No Hobby Lobby around me in San Diego ;(
These brads came in every color and since we were on the way to the airport to fly home, I had to pick one and run. So I picked the collection w/ cream, black, 2 browns, grey, and white. Next time, I'll buy them all ;)

Sunday sketch time! For this one, I used DP by K&Co, a heart stamp by Great Impressions, and a sentiment by The Stamps of Life.

Stars & Stamps Rebel Challenge

In celebration of National Scrapbook Day, the rebels at Operation Write Home are making cards instead of scrapbooks. I have not kept up with most of the challenges, but I did make this card using an embellishment I've been hoarding for months. The CS is by Bazzill, the die cut embellishment is from the "Spring Blossom Seed" packet by K & Co. The DP was cannibalized from a make-and-take from the Scrapbook Expo I attended on Friday. I didn't like the way the card came out, but do like the paper.

I have also been working with a DP pad by K & Co. that I purchased many moons ago called "Flora and Fauna Ledger". The darker DP used for the frame, butterfly, and hearts is by Paper House, CS by Bazzill, tiny heart punch by Recollections, and the butterfly die is by Memory Box.

Stars & Stamps Midweek Challenge

What a great challenge! Create a card using flowers. This is definitely a CAS card, my favorite.
The DP is from K&Company's Daffodil Pad, CS is Bazzill, and the sentiment is from my stash and secured using dimensional adhesive.

OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch # 115

This is my kind of sketch. I used lots of layering, dimensional adhesive to pop up the sentiment, and a simple image. I have also entered this card into the Catch the Bug Challenge (create an Easter/Spring card) at Bugaboo Stamps.

Stars & Stamps Midweek Challenge

Today we are making a "missing you" card. Although mine has a different sentiment, I think it works. I had fun paper-piecing the little house and masking the cloud. I should have distressed the edges. Next time!

OWH Sketch # 112

If it is Sunday, it must be new sketch time at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps blog.
Here is the sketch and my card.
I flipped the design sideways and worked with an old spring-friendly stack of designer paper.
Hope you like it!

OWH Challenge: Die cuts or punches

This was an easy one! The challenge is to make a card for our heroes using a die cut or punch. So I used both and made it an Easter card since the deadline is looming to mail these to the shippers.

OWH Weekly Challenge

The challenge this week from the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps blog is to make a card using crafting gift(s) received for Christmas or an Any Occasion card for our heroes. I did receive gift cards for crafting supplies as a gift but have yet to use them. So, here's my try at an Any Occasion card.

OWH Sketch 102

Here is my example of the OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch 102. The patterned cardstock is from a vintage stack by K and Company. The flower is from the Boutique Fleur collection by Recollections.
