Here I used more of one of my fave 6x6 paper pads and decided to let the sentiment be the star.
Thanks, Our Daily Bread Designs, for sponsoring 2 boxes of cards for Operation Write Home!

Pattern Play Day 1 using OWH Sketch #164
Wow! I learned so much on this first day of class :) I have been creating cards using patterned papers for a couple of years and now I know some tips and tricks to make them even better.
This card uses sketch #164 from www.operationwritehome.org. I have chosen one "large" pattern which I carefully trimmed to center the design. The reverse side of this designer paper is the "small" pattern of white dots-on-green. The "solid" lighter green is a scrap from my stash.
Designer Paper: "Butterfly Kisses" by Three Bugs in a Rug
Backgrond Paper: my stash
Button Brads: Hobby Lobby
Sentiment: Studio G
Black Ink: "Dragonfly Black" by ColorBox
Paper Trimmer: Fiskars

ODBD March Challenge: Scallops
Here's one card made for two challenges. Our Daily Bread Designs and Doodle Pantry DPDC32.
As followers of my blog know, I just love the pre-colored digital images from Doodle Pantry. And this colorful parrot is definitely a favorite.
I also want to give ODBD a thankful shout-out for sponsoring a box of Operation Write Home cards sent to our deployed military for every 25 cards created for their challenge. Thanks so much for your continuing support.
