S & S Midweek Challenge: Masculine

My LSS had a one day super sale last week where I found this double-sided patterned paper for masculine cards. Perfect timing for this challenge!
The sentiment is raised with dimensionsls.

My Oldest Stamp

Thanks to Shopping Our Stash for encouraging me to once again use this sweet little bear stamp on a card.
This stamp was a gift from my best friend in nursing school. She gave it to me at least 25 years ago long before I began paper crafting. It didn't get much use back then and I am glad I saved it.
And a loud shout-out to Tuesday Morning Sketches for the layout! I wanted a contrast to the shades of green so I picked this rather garish orange. It looks more subtle here. Hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by my little blogspot :)

Unscripted Sketches # 209

Here's my card for the Saturday Challenge at Unscripted Sketches. I still have paper left in one of my well-used 6x6 pads and I know what to do with it ;)
The bird image is raised using dimensional adhesive.

Word Art Wednesday Challenge # 78: Anything Goes

The DP used is from an old 12x12 in my stash. The colors and design drew me to this paper and I am happy to have found a way to incorporate it into a card. Thanks, Word Art Wednesday, for the free scripture download! BTW, the brads really do match the purple cardstock in person!

SOS Challenge #98: Bargain Bin Find

Let's admit it---we can't pass up those dollar bargain bins. This stamp set was purchased at last year's Scrapbook Expo for $1. I purchased a couple of other econo stamp sets, ink pads for $1 (some of which were dry, others are just fine), and 10 punches for $1. You read it right. Couldn't pass up that bargain even though I've never used most of the punches ;)

Shopping Our Stash Challenge #97: Text or Letters

I decided on a "shabby chic" design for this challenge. I gathered stamps from multiple sets and this is my creation.

OWH Sketch # 168

Wow...another terrific sketch. I've been meaning to use this owl paper for some time. So this is the time. I am also in the midst of a project to trim down my 12x12 papers to A2 card size. These light brown and dark brown papers were ready for the trimmer so I used them on this card instead.
I can see that my positioning is somewhat off-center. I have kits made up to make multiples of this card and I will be more careful in the future ;)
I do like the masculine color combination, though.
