OWH Design Bootcamp: Major, Minor, and Accent Colors

Today we learned about choosing three colors for our card designs and how to keep them balanced. The idea is to use the 60-30-10 Formula. My choice was to use Pink 60%, Black 30%, and White 10%.
The circle is lifted with dimensional adhesive and the ribbon secured with narrow, double-sided red tape.

Pink CS: Bazzill
Other CS: my stash
Ribbon: 'valentine' collection by making memories
Black Ink: Dragonfly Black by ColorBox
Pink Ink: 'Pretty in Pink' by  Stampin' Up!
Circle Dies: Spellbinders
Border Punch: EK Success
Sentiment and Small Flowers: 'branches4flowers' set by The Stamps of Life

Very pretty card. The card colors remind me of the pink and black from the Art Deco era, but softer. Love it!

Hi Cynthia! Pink, black and white is such a striking color combo and so pretty too. I would definitely say pink in the 'major' color in this design, while the white and black seems to be almost the same in terms of how much there is. It might be easier to think of it as there should be 3 times as much of the minor color (30%) as there is of the accent (10%) when aiming to use the 60/30/10 concept. Love those wavy borders, one of my all time favorite edge punches! Thanks for joining in the July Bootcamp!
