Memorial Weekend Sketch #123

Our hearts are with those who have lost loved ones in past and current conflicts. Our family has been blessed with many brave members of the military from the killing fields of the Civil War to the brutal battles in Viet Nam.
When I think about the losses our nation has known, I am both saddened and proud of our heroes. May each one lost rest in peace.

I followed the sketch closely and am happy with the results. All DP is from the "Tigerlilly" collection by KaiserCraft, die cut flourish by Sizzix, the sentiment from The Stamps of Life.
Thank you for visiting!

S & S Midweek Challenge

This time the challenge is to use tropical colors on a card.
The salmon DP is from the "Tropical Travelogue" collection by Graphic45,
the blue CS is Bazzill. I also used a corner rounder, corner punch, and heart  punch. The "Spread Your Wings" sentiment card with butterfly is from my stash.

Fun with a Designer Paper Pad

Here are a few cards created yesterday using only DP and embellishments from the KaiserCraft paper pad collection "Tiny Woods"

Stars & Stamps Sketch #121

I have fallen in love (or at least lust) with small paper pads! The one I used for this sketch is the "These Days" collection by KaiserCraft.
I cut out the larger flower from one of the pages as my centerpiece. It has a shininess to it and I added dimensional adhesive.

Stars & Stamps Midweek Challenge

Today the challenge is to make cards with a Patriotic theme. I purchased this DP (from 'The Freedom Collection' by Reminisce) in February on clearance from Michael's for 14 cents (!) I bought three 12x12 sheets because I knew this design is perfect for OWH cards. The paper is 2-sided and thin enough to see through. I used navy blue CS for the background, white ribbon from my stash, and the small, oval die is by Memory Box. Simple and very Patriotic ;)

Stars & Stamps Rebel Challenge

In celebration of National Scrapbook Day, the rebels at Operation Write Home are making cards instead of scrapbooks. I have not kept up with most of the challenges, but I did make this card using an embellishment I've been hoarding for months. The CS is by Bazzill, the die cut embellishment is from the "Spring Blossom Seed" packet by K & Co. The DP was cannibalized from a make-and-take from the Scrapbook Expo I attended on Friday. I didn't like the way the card came out, but do like the paper.

I have also been working with a DP pad by K & Co. that I purchased many moons ago called "Flora and Fauna Ledger". The darker DP used for the frame, butterfly, and hearts is by Paper House, CS by Bazzill, tiny heart punch by Recollections, and the butterfly die is by Memory Box.

Stars & Stamps Midweek Challenge

What a great challenge! Create a card using flowers. This is definitely a CAS card, my favorite.
The DP is from K&Company's Daffodil Pad, CS is Bazzill, and the sentiment is from my stash and secured using dimensional adhesive.

Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 23

I didn't get a chance to use this great digi on Earth Day, so here it is on a card created for DPDC23!
The digi, of course, is by Doodle Pantry, cardstock by Bazzill, the sentiment was computer-generated using Comic Sans font, the edger punch by eksuccess.
